Privacy Policy

MTB Camera is designed to keep your data on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, and there are no user accounts.
Your videos stay on your device
Your footage, clips, and settings never leave your iPhone. Nothing you record or import is uploaded anywhere, and the app contains no advertising SDKs.
Anonymous usage statistics
The app records a small number of anonymous counters so we can see which features are used and where the app falls short — for example, how often a recording finds no rider and produces no clips. This is the only information that leaves your device.
What is recorded: counts of events such as the app being opened, a recording finishing, clips being created, saved, or shared, a video being imported, and whether a session produced any clips. That is all.
This data contains no personal information, no location, and no video, image, or audio content. It is not linked to your identity and is never used to track you across other apps or websites, which is why the app does not ask for tracking permission. The counters are processed by TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service based in the European Union; any device identifier is anonymised before it is sent, and we cannot use it to identify you or single out your device.
On-device processing
All video recording, object detection, and trimming happen locally on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks (Vision / Core ML and AVFoundation). No footage is uploaded to any server.
Permissions we use
- Camera & Microphone — to record your ride. Used only while you are recording.
- Photo Library — to import a video you choose for trimming, and to save the clips you keep back to your library.
These permissions are used solely on your device for the features above. The app does not read your library beyond the video you explicitly pick, and writes only the clips you choose to keep.
Children's privacy
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children. The anonymous usage counters described above cannot identify any individual.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
